Infrared BBQs
Even
though Infrared BBQs are not exactly a brand new technology, the truth
of the matter is that infrared technology has simply been too expensive
for most people to use at their homes.
Because this technology has historically been expensive to use, many
people don’t understand exactly how these grills work. On the
electromagnetic spectrum, infrared energy falls between visible light
and microwave energy. The infrared burners allow the juices from the
meat to be trapped inside and not released because the chefs are able
to cook thoroughly in a shorter amount of time.
One of the major differences between infrared grills BBQs and other
gas-powered grills is the fact that infrared grills are simply much
hotter. Most of the advanced burners can cook anywhere from between
450 and 900 degrees. Most of the standard gas burners max out at about
750 degrees.
Although infrared BBQs can be easier and shorten the cooking time, the
fact is that they are also much more expensive, as a matter of fact,
they can be so much more expensive that the cost is prohibitive of people
actually being able to buy them for use.
